The twin room had a comfortable bed, a lounge area, and a kettle, and the jacuzzi bathroom was particularly nice; convenient central location with plenty of pubs and bistros nearby.

Our room was huge and fantastic, had WiFi, and a really lovely view. They even hooked us up with a hairdryer, toiletries, and big bath sheets—a nice touch! 🌟

Booked a room with awesome views of the cathedral...

We recently stayed at a hotel in the center of the city close to restaurants, tourist attractions, and the cultural center. We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of our room, especially since we booked the family room which comfortably accommodated our group of five. The breakfast provided was delicious and offered great value for the price. Additionally, the hotel's parking facility was a real bonus as parking in the area could be quite difficult. our stay at Du Theatre Centre Historique Parking Gratuit was a fantastic experience.
Almost perfect! 😊

The family room here is air-conditioned and practical. It has a cozy family feel, but some staff members could be more helpful 😕. The hotel is in a great spot for checking out a beautiful Roman Catholic cathedral nearby.

The situation is really very good. From our room we also had a fantastic view to the cathedral. Also the free parking was great, especially with this location.
The hotel has its best times long past. The wall covering in the corridors (wallpaper made of cords) dissolves, falls down and steams out (very unpleasant smell). Partly the bare walls can be seen in the staircase. Also the carpet on our floor partly had holes as big as plates, under it was the bare screed. The toilet in the room was old and the room was just big enough that you could still close the door without having to sit down on the toilet. The bathroom was also older but ok and the room (203) was functionally furnished. But everything was clean. We were 2 adults and 3 children. Double bed. extra bed and sofa bed for two.

The breakfast was really a real highlight in comparison to the filthy, musty hotel corridors and the filthy underground car park - large selection, friendly staff and interesting space. The hotel room was again significantly better than the corridors - although the fawned imitation wood flooring could not tear us from our stools. The sanitary facilities were relatively new, but in order to be able to enter the small toilet compartment separated from the bathroom, it would have been best to lower the trousers in front of the door. The bathroom (bathtub and vanity already had almost 2.45 sqm floor space.
In particular the old, frayed wall coverings in the hallway and also the totally worn carpet in the hallways with holes. The level differences in the corridors, which were signposted as escape routes, may not be permissible even in France because in the event of a fire, clots are formed immediately. Our room had no fire alarm - the hallways had some.

clean rooms
the hall way decaying and smelling horrible (literally, hard to walk the distance room - elevator on the top floor; could not take the stairs because they stopped in a mess - heavy decaying wallpaper fallen on the actual stairs) rooms with no proper sound insulation (not great if you want to sleep on a Saturday night in a hotel in the city)

Proximity was pretty good. Metz is a nice town.
I agree with other reviewers. There was probably some water damage under the wallpaper (which was coming off in sheets in places). The worst part through was that our water stopped working as my husband attempted to take a shower in the morning. The desk lady clearly expected this problem because just hearing l'eau and room 322 she without question handed me a key for room 301 so me and my 2yo could take a bath/shower. Not very convenient when you are traveling with little ones.
